Beefy Managu

  • Serves: 5
  • Prep Time: 20 minutes



  2. Boil the water and salt
  3. Add the Managu after washing and draining them.
  4. Allow to steam for 12 minutes.
  5. Remove them from the water and cool(shock) in ice cold water.
  6. After cooling, remove the excess water by squeezing the managu into balls with your hands.
  7. Slice each ball 3 times.
  8. In a separate pot heat 4 tablespoons of oil and fry the beef until browned
  9. Fry the onions until translucent.
  10. Add the garlic and fry further for 2 minutes.
  11. Add the tomato seeds and allow to cook down.
  12. Add the managu and allow excess liquid to evaporate and everything is combined
  13. Serve Hot with Ugali.
