Creamy Managu

  • Prep Time: 45 minutes



  2. Start by boiling the water and the salt.
  3. Add the Managu after washing and draining.
  4. And allow to steam for 12 minutes.
  5. Remove them from the water and cool(shock) in ice cold water.
  6. After cooling, remove the excess water by squeezing the managu into balls with your hands.
  7. Slice each ball 3 times.
  8. In a separate pot heat butter and fry the onions until translucent.
  9. Add the milk and mala and allow to thicken
  10. Add managu and mix evenly and fully coated.
  11. Add the managu and allow excess liquid to evaporate and everything is combined
  12. Serve hot with Ugali.
