- Cream the butter and sugar in the bowl.
- Add the buttermilk, eggs, lemon juice and zest.
- In a separate bowl sift your flour,add the baking powder and baking soda then create a well in the middle.
- Mix evenly until smooth and fluffy.
- Line baking tray with butter and pour cake batter into pan and bake for 1 hour at 170 degrees.
- Remove and cool and serve .
