Spicy Calamari in Tomato Sauce

  1. In a sauce pan heat 1/8 cup of oil and panfry your onions and capsicum until slightly browned.
  2. Add your cayenne pepper, rosemary, garlic, ginger and tomato paste and cook until slightly aromatic.
  3. Pour in your tomato ragu with 1/2 cup of water, pasta water and lemon juice and allow to come to the boil before adding your calamari and allowing them to cook shortly for about 7 minutes.
  4. Once firmed and cooked, add your boiled spaghetti and mix through ensuring it is well coasted and heated through before serving, correct seasoning and serve hot.
