Swahili Spiced Tea

  • Prep Time: 50 minutes



  1. In a large pot toast the cardamom and cinnamon crushing the pods accordingly, for about 15 minutes.
  2. Add the water and allow to simmer down to 3 cups of water, add the tea leaves and simmer further for 20 minutes
  3. Add the milk and leave on low heat for another 15 minutes.
  4. Turn the heat up and allow the milk to rise, turn off heat, strain and serve hot
