Reduction of the flour and cooking time will ensure that your Ugali is smooth and soft. To ensure that the ugali cooks fully cover it with either a plate or the cover of the pan. Ensure that Ugali is served immediately.



  1. Boil water, after boiling add the maize flour as you do with regular ugali.
  2. After adding the unga stir the ugali flour until it is firm.
  3. Cover and allow to steam for 10 minutes.
  4. Serve immediatley.
