Yogurt Beans

Yogurt beans?...How? That’s probably what you are wondering but yes, you can make a delicious meal from maziwa mala and beans. Impossible is nothing and it’s about time you tried this amazing Yogurt Beans meal:



  1. Boil beans and set aside to cool once cooked
  2. In a separate sufuria/pot add oil, a crack of black pepper, sprinkle salt, add sliced onions and allow to cook until brown
  3. Add the ginger paste and spices and reduce the heat to low and allow spices to cook
  4. Add beans and allow to simmer for 10 minutes turn the heat back to high after the spices and ginger have cooked
  5. After simmering for 10 minutes add Maziwa mala and allow to simmer for another 10 minutes
  6. Finally add fresh coriander and allow to simmer for 5 minutes
  7. Check seasoning, put off heat and allow the beans to sit in the pot for another 10 minutes before serving
